Summerhill College under-16 soccer team have won the Connacht Schools Cup title for 2023 – after beating Presentation College Athenry on penalty kicks in Thursday’s final, played at Athlone Town Stadium.
The final finished level at 1-1 at the end of extra-time.
Summerhill won the shootout 3-0 with goalkeeper Paul McAteer saving three of the Athenry spot kicks.
