Sligo based TD says Eastern Bridge will proceed as planned



Sligo Leitrim TD Frank Feighan has moved to ease any concerns over the future of the Eastern Bridge project.

 

Speaking to OceanFM news, Deputy Feighan said he met with Minster Ryan last night in relation to the project last night.

 

The Green Party Leader cast doubt over the future of the infrastructure which was due to have been constructed across the Garavogue River in Sligo town.

 

It’s claimed that Minster Ryan while addressing an event in the Sligo ATU said that ‘a cycle and pedestrian bridge would be more suitable’.
