Sligo Councillor still hopeful that N17 Infrastructure between Knock and Collooney will go ahead



On this morning’s edition of North West Today there was further reaction to the decision by the Government to stall any funding for the proposed new road network on the N17 between Knock and Collooney.

To recap, a number of Sligo Councillor’s and TD’s attend the meeting where Minister for Transport Eamon Ryan broke the bad news well over a week ago.

The news only emerged earlier this week that the project was stalled.

Sligo-Drumcliff Independent Councillor Marie Casserly chaired the meeting with Minister Ryan and spoke to John Lynch about the decision:
