Local TD claims funding has been suspended for N17 Knock to Collooney Scheme



It’s being claimed that The North West has been dealt a serious blow as funding for the N17 Knock to Collooney Scheme has been pulled by the Government.

 

A local TD says the Minister for Transport, Eamon Ryan has indicated to Sligo County Council that no funding would be available for this scheme for many years.

 

Although the scheme has not been removed from the National Development Plan, it will effectively be suspended if no funding is allocated for the foreseeable future.

 

Deputy Martin Kenny, is the Sinn Féin’s spokesperson on Transport, has slammed the move, labelling both the Government and Minister Ryan’s decision as outrageous:
