Increase in number waiting at North West hospitals



There were 65 people waiting for hospital beds in the North West’s two main hospitals this morning, an increase of 3 on Monday morning’s figures.

According to the latest trolley watch figures from the INMO, there were 36 people waiting at Sligo University Hospital, with a further 29 waiting at Letterkenny. Two of those 29 are under 16.

Cork University Hospital is the most overcrowded facility in Ireland today, with 88 people awaiting admission there.

Nationwide, today’s figures stand at 565.
