CLARIFICATION AND APOLOGY
In April 2022, Ocean FM broadcast a news item and subsequent interview with Councillor Michael Clarke of Sligo County Council in relation to the old graveyard at Corkamore Templeboy.
Dermot and Sheila McDermott, who own the land surrounding the graveyard in question, were not contacted by Ocean FM in advance of the broadcast. Mr and Mrs McDermott have asked us to clarify that they have never had an issue with public access to the graveyard and would like to see it properly maintained.
We are happy to clarify the matter and apologise to Mr and Mrs Dermott accordingly.
