April a record-breaking month for Ireland West Airport Knock

This April proved to be the busiest April in Ireland West Airport Knock’s history.

A record 77,000 passengers passed through the Knock-based airport last month, making it the busiest April in the airport’s 38-year history. It is also forecast that up to 850,000 passengers could pass through the airport this year, which would make it the busiest year on record for the airport.

History was also made at Ireland West Airport Knock in April as President of the United States of America, Joe Biden, touched down in Air Force One there during his recent visit to Ireland.

Speaking to Ocean FM News, Head of Marketing at Ireland West Airport, Donal Healy, said the addition of new routes from the airport were key to its success.
