Following widespread falls in the price of milk across the main supermarkets during the weekend, consumers in a number of supermarket chains will also benefit from a drop in the price of butter.
From today, a number of supermarkets will cut the price of its own brand butter while other butter products will also reduce in price accordingly.
The move has been welcomed by customers, however, dairy farmers have expressed their concerns.
