Local councillor says safety concerns outside of Realt na Mara Primary School will be addressed



Improving safety outside a school in Sligo appears to be a step closer.

Currently there is no footpath or cycle path outside Realt na Mara Primary School in Rosses Point which has been a huge area of concern for the entire school community.

However it’s been confirmed that the Active Travel Team is investigating the issue and the project is at options assessment stage under the NTA approval guidelines.

It is envisaged that this stage will be completed early in May and that the preliminary design, statutory process will progress thereafter.
