Parkinson’s awareness week begins on April 10th with the world Parkinson’s day being staged April 11th
Ahead of the events John Lynch was joined in Studio by Mildred Gilmore whose brother was diagnosed with the condition a decade ago and by Kevin Fitzsimons who was over the past couple of years was diagnosed with the condition himself.
Kevin is a member of the Parkinson’s association in Sligo and head of the Ireland Parkinson’s golf committee.
The discussion focused on the help and support that is available for those that may have the condition or may be supporting a loved one or family member that is living with Parkinson’s.
