Fáilte Ireland is under pressure to give a guarantee that it will fund the public toilet development for Enniscrone.
The project is currently at pre-planning stage however there’s concern that without the necessary money secured, it won’t get off the ground.
The project was first announced four years ago.
Local Independent Councillor Joe Queenan says building costs have risen considerably since then and while the development appears to be progressing on paper, Failte Ireland must give urgent clarity over its commit in providing the funding:
