Donegal mother of special needs children talks about her challenges of finding suitable home



A Donegal mother of four who’s been on the housing waiting list for five years is losing hope in ever finding a suitable home for her family.

 

Two of Emma’s children have disabilities, one of them is in a wheelchair and living in a two storey house simply isn’t feasible and they’re currently living with her parents.

 

Emma met Housing Minister Darragh O’Brien yesterday and while he gave reassurances that the matter would be resolved but didn’t give a definitive timeline.

 

Her story was also raised on the floor of the Dáil yesterday.
