Local TD says there is now support for a General Election



A Sligo-Leitrim TD believes that there is an appetite for a General Election should the Government not survive todays motion of no confidence in the Dáil.

 

The Labour Party has tabled today’s challenge due to concerns in relation to the housing crisis, however the Governments chances of survival seem to be steadily increasing ahead of the vote.

 

The Sinn Féin party is backing the motion of no confidence as are local Independent TD’s Thomas Pringle and Marian Harkin.

 

Deputy Marc MacSharry will vote in favour of the government.
