Donegal councillor says regular disruptions is disrupting council business



A Donegal MD Councillor has expressed his frustration with yet further disruption to a local authority meeting yesterday.

 

Independent Councillor Frank McBrearty Jnr was handed a three-month suspension from Donegal County Council meetings due to disruptive behaviour.

 

Cllr McBrearty attended the meeting online and made a number of allegations throughout the meeting.

 

Council members voted to have Cllr McBrearty withdrawn from the proceedings, however he refused to leave the meeting.

 

Councillors subsequently voted to suspend him from all meetings of the local authority, including committee meetings and meetings of the municipal district.
