It’s hoped that a new community app in Leitrim will help with the fight against rural crime.
The new ‘Leitrim Alerts App’ which contains community alerts for the County has gone live in recent weeks and supports the local authority in Leitrim, An Garda Siochána and the county’s local text alert groups.
Kieran Brett from Leitrim County Council says the new form of communications has been well received within the county and works differently to the community text alert model.
