Donegal TD claims any Independent’s supporting the government in no confidence motion are running scared of a general election

Donegal Deputy Thomas Pringle has confirmed that he will be voting against the Government in Wednesday’s motion of no confidence that is being tabled by the Labour Party.

The Motion was put down following the government’s decision not to extend the ban on evictions.

Last week Sligo Leitrim independent TD  Marc MacSharry claimed having a general election now would not be of any benefit to those that are about to become homeless.

The former Fianna Fáil TD said having the country focused on a general election would take the focus away from the housing crisis.

Independent Donegal TD Thomas Pringle has taken a different view. He confirmed to OceanFM news that he will support the Labour party motion adding that’s it’s time for a change of government.

The Donegal TD says any Independents that choose to vote with the government are frightened by the prospect of a general election.
