Yesterday’s meeting of the Manorhamilton Municipal District of Leitrim Council heard fresh concerns in relation to the future of the Kiltyclogher Health Centre.
Fine Gael Councillor Sean McDermott tabled a motion calling on the local authority to contact the HSE to see if there are any plans to upgrade and refurbish the centre.
Cllr McDermott says there is a significant population in the area that would benefit from having the facility upgraded and that such a move would help ease the pressure on A&E departments in Hospitals.
