Disappointment in Ballyshannon over no reopening date for local library



There’s disappointment in Ballyshannon following no breakthrough in the local library reopening.

 

The facility has been closed since the pandemic and while it had been hoped it would open again last September, it remains shut.

 

It’s said to be down to ongoing staffing issues.

 

Local Cllr Barry Sweeney says the library is a really important amenity and even its on part time basis, it must reopen in the interest of the local community and in particular school children in the area:
