Enniscrone in emergency situation over ambulance response times



Enniscrone has been deemed as the most difficult area in the country for ambulances to get to in the event of an emergency.

 

That’s according to new evidence from the Director of the National Ambulance Service, Mr Robert Morton.

 

It has led to calls for a new national training college for paramedics to be based in Sligo, owing to some of the worst ambulance response times in the country.

 

In the Dail, Independent Sligo Leitrim TD Marian Harkin says these kind of delays are totally unacceptable and urgent efforts must be made to address the issue:
