The Labour Party Leader has highlighted a number of key concerns relating to Sligo University Hospital.
Deputy Ivana Bacik, made representations on the floor of the Dail on behalf of staff at the hospital following a visit to Sligo on Monday.
Waiting lists, delays in necessary infrastructure and the ongoing difficulty in the recruitment and retention of staff are only some of the issues currently being experienced at the facility.
Deputy Bacik says even if the hospital is lucky enough to recruit additional staff, they in turn have serious problems in securing accommodation in Sligo:
