HSE under fire over projections for bed capacity increase at Sligo University Hospital



The HSE has come under fire over its projections for an increase in bed capacity at Sligo University Hospital.

 

They predict that just 77 beds will be added to the facility over the next eleven years.

 

This is despite a major population increase in the North West, according to the latest census report.

 

Member of the Regional Health Forum West and Manorhamilton Cllr Felim Gurn says there is no way that these plans will cope with future demand:
