ATU Sligo men’s soccer team are celebrating an intervarsities Challenge Cup title after they defeated NRC Coleraine 2-1 in a dramatic Challenge Cup final, played at Athlone Town Stadium on Tuesday.
NRC Coleraine took the lead early in the second half with a strike from distance.
However, the Sligo students responded five minutes later as Rian Gorman (Carbury) headed in from a corner.
ATU Sligo took the lead six minutes from time as Cian Kilcoyne (Ballymote Celtic) tucked away a penalty.
