MCR’s relentless march towards the Southern Hotel Super League junior soccer title in Sligo/Leitrim continued on Sunday with a 6-0 win against struggling Aughanagh Celtic in Ballinafad.
Goals from Jordon Harte(2), Ryan McManus (2) Keith Nibbs and Donagh Crowne completed a comfortable win on the road for Gary Funston’s side.
With eight league games remaining, MCR enjoy a nine-point advantage over second-placed Carbury, who beat Strand Celtic 4-3 in an eventful game on Saturday night.
Carbury finished the game with eight players but still managed to claim the win.
