Summerhill reach All-Ireland colleges final

Summerhill College senior gaelic footballers bridged a 38-year gap for the school on Saturday in Tuam Stadium with a memorable 2-11 to 1-11 All-Ireland colleges ‘A’ semi-final victory over Munster champions St Brendan’s of Killarney.

Ronan Niland’s spectacular second-half goal was the key in another performance of courage, skill and conviction which sees Summerhill reach their first Hogan Cup final since 1985.

The All-Ireland final, against Omagh CBS, will be played at Croke Park on St Patrick’s Day.
