North West trolley figures rise again



The number of people being kept on trollies in hospitals has risen again in the North West, with 56 people waiting across the region.

According to the latest Trolley Watch figures from the INMO, there are 34 people waiting for a bed in Sligo University Hospital, while in Letterkenny University Hospital, there are 22.

Nationwide, today’s figures stand at 543, University Hospital Limerick is the most overcrowded facility in Ireland today, with 86 people, 43 of which are in the emergency department, awaiting admission there.
