INMO warn that lack of funding for local NOWDOC services is putting people at risk



The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation is calling on the HSE to properly fund the NOWDOC service to ensure its safe for patients and staff.

 

The call has been made on behalf of nurses working for the service in Leitrim and Donegal.

 

Despite the public being directed to use out-of-hours GP services rather than attend emergency departments, it’s understood that there has been no added resources provided to triage services.
