Holders Sligo Grammar power into Schools cup semi-finals

Sligo Grammar School are through to another Schools Cup senior ‘A’ semi-final in rugby following Thursday 22-10 win over Marist College in Athlone.

The win sees James Galvin’s side finish top of Pool B with two wins from two.

They now face Colaiste Iognáid (The ‘Jes’) of Galway in the last four – which will be a repeat of last year’s final.

The possibility of an all-Sligo Schools Cup final is still on – as Summerhill College have finished top of Pool A and will face either Marist College or Roscommon CBS in the knockout.

The latter two schools have to meet in the concluding group match to determine who will finish runners-up in Pool B.
