Donegal TD grills Minister over election expenses



A Donegal Sinn Fein TD has been grilling Public Expenditure Minister Pascal Donohoe in the Dail this past hour.

 

Earlier, the party accused Minister Donohoe of misleading the Dáil over his election expenses.

 

The Minister has been taking questions in the chamber this afternoon after further revelations relating to postering expenses.

 

It emerged today businessman Michael Stone paid for work to be done during the 2020 election as well as in 2016 – with neither expenses declared.

 

Donegal Deputy Pearse Doherty asked the Minister to ‘come clean’ on exactly how many posters Mr.Stone put up.

 

The exchange led to the Ceann Comhairle pleading to Deputy Doherty to let the Minister answer the questions he asked:
