Those relying on seasonal employment this summer will take major hit -MacSharry



There’s a warning that those relying on seasonal employment and business in the North West this summer will take a major hit.

 

Serious concern has been raised over the viability of the tourism and hospitality sector this year over a lack of accommodation.

It’s because many hotels and other tourist accommodation are now facilitating Ukrainian Refugees, leaving little to no room for those thinking on holidaying in the region.

 

The issue was raised in the Dail by Independent TD Marc MacSharry who asked Tánaiste Michael Martin what the Government is prepared to do to support those affected.

 

Responding, Michael Martin says they are trying to find solutions but ruled out the prospect of compensation:
