Tánaiste moves to ease ongoing concerns over sale of land to Coillte & British investment fund



The Tánaiste has insisted that there will be no privatisation of public land under the Coillte proposal to sell land to a British investment fund.

 

Gresham House, is giving the state owned forestry company 200 million Euro to try and reach a target of 18 per cent forest cover.

 

However there are ongoing fears that the plan will have devastating consequences for the North West region.

 

The Fianna Fáil Leader has stated that Coillte will not sell privately-owned forests as part of the deal.
