Free GP care would lead to an “absolute nightmare”



A Donegal doctor believes that free GP care in Ireland would lead to an “absolute nightmare.”

 

That’s the warning from the Irish Medical Organisation, in response to a new ESRI study exploring the possibility of making all GP visits free of charge by 2026.

 

It’s expected it would result in an extra 2 million doctors visits every year.
