Drumbar United’s girls under-16 soccer team were crowned Ulster Cup winners at the weekend with a 3-1 victory over Cockhill Celtic in Letterkenny.
On a night when weather conditions were challenging, two goals from Sara Thomas a third from Sarah McGuinness propelled the south Donegal club to victory over their Inishowen opponents.
The game was one of a series of Ulster area finals been hosted by Letterkenny over the weekend.
The under-16 success marks a fine start to 2023 for Drumbar whose underage work over the last number of years continues to reap rewards in both girls and boys underage football.
