Belmullet’s Gary Boylan has rejoined Sligo Rovers for the 2023 SSE Airtricity League Premier Division season.
The defender returns to the club after spells at Finn Harps and Cork City in recent seasons.
Boylan, who’s a versatile defender, is being signed by manager John Russell as a full back.
He came through the Academy system at the Showgrounds and made his senior League of Ireland debut against Derry City back in 2014, going on to make more than 100 appearances for the club, before moving on in 2019.
While injury has hampered his career in recent seasons, it’s felt the 26-year old still has much to offer.
Pre-season training for Rovers begins later this week.
The opening league game of the new season will be at home to champions Shamrock Rovers on Saturday, February 18th.
