Leitrim hurlers make winning start to Connacht league



Leitrim hurlers progressed to the semi-finals of the 2023 Connacht hurling league with an impressive 4-23 to 1-18 victory over Mayo in Monday’s encounter at the Connacht GAA Air Dome.

Corner forward Joe Murray hit three of Leitrim’s goals as Olcan Conway’s side set up as semi-final meeting against Roscommon, who beat Sligo on Wednesday night by 0-31 to 2-18.

The semi-finalis  scheduled for Wednesday evening at 7pm

This year’s Connacht hurling league also includes Longford and New York as well as a Galway development squad.

The entire competition is being run off this week – with the finals scheduled for Saturday (Jan 7th).
