Inquest into the deaths of Aidan Moffitt & Michael Snee, hears how they suffered multiple sharp force injuries to the neck and head



A preliminary hearing of the inquest into the deaths of Sligo men Aidan Moffitt and Michael Snee, has found both men suffered multiple sharp force injuries to the neck and head.

 

 

Aidan Moffitt who was 41 with an address of 4 Cartron Heights, Sligo town, was found dead at his home on April 11, 2022, while the body of Michael Snee aged 50 was discovered at his home at 24 City View Apartments, Connaughton Road one day later.

 

The inquests for both men were opened to facilitate issuing death certificates.

 

Proceedings were adjourned to an unspecified future date following the conclusion of legal proceedings in the Central Criminal Court next November.

 

 

The preliminary hearing of the inquest into their deaths at Sligo Coroner’s Court heard that the results of the post-mortem examination carried out by state pathologist Dr Sally Anne Collis on Mr Moffitt confirmed he died from multiple sharp force injuries to his head, neck and chest.

 

The autopsy report for Mr Snee confirmed he died from multiple sharp force injuries to his neck and chest.
