Donegal Hoteliers highlight challenges they will face in 2023



Donegal hoteliers have penned an open letter to all TDs, highlighting the growing economic challenges facing the sector over the next 12 months.

 

The letter, which represents 55 local businesses, calls on all local representatives to support the retention the 9% tourism VAT rate.

 

The rate is set to increase to 13.5% in March of next year as part of Budget 2023.

 

Hoteliers believe that the move would heavily impact the long-term recovery of tourism.
