Ireland West and Donegal Airports receive funding



Ireland West Airport Knock and Donegal Airport and have received funding under the Regional Airports Programme.

 

The funding was announced by Minister of State at the Department of Transport Hildegarde Naughton on Tuesday afternoon.

 

Ireland West Airport Knock has received the larger share of €1.7 million, while Donegal Airport has received almost €640,000.

 

The supports which will provide vital safety and security operations at the airports in areas such as air traffic control and fire services.

 

Cork, Kerry and Shannon Airports have also received funding under the programme.
