Killybegs councillor calls for serious consideration to be give to creating Donegal rail service



A Donegal Municipal Councillor has called for the establishment of a ‘Cross Directorate Working Group’ to examine the possibility of re-establishing a rail network in Donegal.

 

Cllr Niamh Kennedy is urging the local Authority to set up the group and capitalise on cross border and shared island initiatives.

 

Speaking to Ocean FM news she says it’s vital that all departments in Donegal county council work together and lobby the appropriate groups to discuss the possibility of a rail service for the county.
