Local TD claims Hospitals outside of the north west being prioritised by the Taoiseach



The Taoiseach has come in for criticism over comments he made in relation to progress on planned improvements at a number of hospitals throughout country.

 

Michael Martin confirmed that Cork’s new hospital is to be signed off next week, while also stating that issues surrounding Hospitals in the likes of Galway, Dublin and Limerick will be taken by the ‘scruff of the neck’.

 

The comments from the Taoiseach at a time when Sligo University Hospital dominating the local headlines this week with consultants highlighting the plight of both staff and patients regarding major health and safety issues.
