Sligo County Councillors are meeting today to agree on a budget for the coming year.
The Chief Executive’s Draft Budget will be discussed with the aim of adopting what’s on the table.
Varying the level of commercial rates refunds on Vacant Properties is also set to be considered.
Local Fianna Fail Cllr Paul Taylor says their job will be about getting the balance right and keeping every corner of the county maintained.
However, Cllr Taylor says while he feels the Council is moving in the right direction, difficult decisions may need to be made:
