Leo McLoone appointed Donegal U20 manager

Donegal All-Ireland winner Leo McLoone has been appointed as Donegal’s new under-20 football manager for the 2023 season.

McLoone and former county team-mate Eamon McGee worked as an U20 selector under Garry Duffy last year.

The Glenties man now takes on the bainisteoir’s bib himself for next season.

Although retired from intercounty football, McLoone was part of the Naomh Conaill team which lost to Cargin on penalties in last Sunday’s Ulster club quarter-final in Belfast.

Milford’s Luke Barrett has been re-appointed as county minor boss for a third season.

He lead Donegal to an Ulster final in 2021 – and they lost out on penalties to Tyrone in this year’s provincial semi-final.
