A Donegal TD is calling for an end to what’s been described as a crisis in homecare.
A Sinn Fein motion on the issue is to be brought before the Dail later, which claims to provide a plan to provide more supports and care to those who want to stay in their own home
It comes as almost 10% of older people approved for home support have no carer available to them.
Speaking to Ocean FM news, Deputy Padraig MacLochlainn says he is aware of many cases in this region of people who have been approved for a home care package but are unable to secure a home care assistant.
