Donegal’s Erin McLaughlin called up to Ireland senior squad

Donegal’s Erin McLaughlin has been called into Vera Pauw’s Republic of Ireland senior women’s soccer squad for an eight-day training camp in Marbella in Spain later this month, which will also include a friendly international against Morocco.

The midfielder, who’s a former under-10 international, has impressed this season for Peamount United in the SSE Airtricity National League.

McLaughlin signed from Peamount last January after playing for Sion Swifts in the Northern Ireland women’s Premiership.

There is also a first senior call-up for Shelbourne’s 16-year-old goalkeeper Katie Keane.
