EJ Sligo All-Stars impressive start to the men’s basketball Superleague season has been rewarded with new American recruit Greg Poleon collecting the Player of the Month award for October, and head coach Shane O’Meara being named Coach of the Month.
O’Meara has guided his team to a top five position in the Superleague table after five games, which includes wins against DBS Éanna, Marian and Templeogue.
Poleon scored 40 points in the team’s win on the opening night of the season against DBS Éanna and has settled in very well to the Sligo set up.
The All-Stars turn their attention to the opening round of the National (Pat Duffy) Cup this weekend – when they travel to Dublin to play St Vincent’s at 7pm.
