A petition is to be submitted to both Donegal County Council and the TII, calling for a permanent solution to serious safety issues on the main road in Laghey.
A significant amount of residents in the area have signed the document in a bid to highlight their ongoing concerns over a section of the N15 which has been described as an accident blackspot.
There have been several crashes there – the latest one last evening.
The route is home to a number of junctions and those living in the area are finding it increasingly difficult to access the main road.
While it was confirmed this week that some temporary safety measures are to be put in place next month to slow traffic down, Cllr Noel Jordon says it’s felt locally that a lot more needs to be done urgently:
