Safety measures to be implemented at Laghey by end of next month



It’s been confirmed that some safety measures are to be implemented in Laghey by the end of November.

 

It follows concern locally by the speed some motorists are travelling in the area, with a number of crashes along the stretch over the years.

 

The safety measures are said to be of a temporary nature and include the likes of islands and lighting in a bid to slow traffic down.

 

Local Cllr Fianna Fail Michael Naughton says while these measures are welcome, ultimately the long term solution will be putting a roundabout on the route:
