All-Stars impress again with win over Templeogue



EJ Sligo All-Stars returned to winning ways in basketball’s men’s Superleague on Saturday evening with a 97-90 victory over Templeogue in Dublin.

American Greg Poleon top scored for the All-Stars with 30 points, with point guard Tom Child netting 20.

Oisin O’Reilly, Cian Lally and Lettekenny’s Andy McGeever also chipped in with 17, 12 and 9 points respectively.

The siders were level 45-45 at half-time and the All-Stars led by one at the end of Q3 (69-68) before pulling clear in the final quarter to win by seven.

It’s the All-Stars third win from their opening four Superleague matches.

They lie joint second in the Superleague table, three points behind leaders Neptune who beat holders Tralee on Saturday night by 100 points to 91.
