There were 44 people waiting for a bed at the two main North West hospitals this morning according to the INMO.
28 people were waiting at Sligo University Hospital while a further 16 were waiting at Letterkenny.
Cork University Hospital remains the most overcrowded with 74 people waiting there.
Nationally, there were 461 people waiting at hospitals across the country today.
