Letterkenny University Hospital remains in top 5 most overcrowded hospitals nationwide



There are 55 people on trolleys in hospitals across the North West this morning.

According to the INMO’s latest Trolley Watch figures, there are currently 34 people waiting for a bed in Letterkenny University Hospital, while in Sligo, there are 21.

That means that Letterkenny is the fourth most overcrowded hospital in the country today.

Nationally, there are 555 people waiting for beds in hospitals around the country today. Cork University Hospital and University Hospital Limerick are the most overcrowded hospitals, with 74 people waiting for beds in both hospitals this morning.
