Housing Minister says state are going after defective block providers



The Housing Minister says the state is using every legal avenue available to go after those responsible for defective building blocks.

The government introduced a 10 per cent levy on concrete in Tuesday’s Budget to held fund the mica and pyrite remediation scheme.

Tánaiste Leo Varadkar earlier this week said he’s frustrated there have been no prosecutions of people responsible for the scandal.

Homes have been impacted by the condition right across the north west.
